Psalm 139:15

Psalm 139:15 - My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.

Dear God,
I was woven together! God, like a weaver who creates a piece of cloth, you wove me together before I was born. It takes a weaver a long time to carefully lay each thread in place so that something can be formed. The weaver takes delight in deciding what the piece of cloth will look like when it is finished. While working on the cloth, the weaver also decides what its purpose will be and the kind of character it will have. In the same way, Lord, you wove me together, taking great joy in designing me. You purposefully chose how I would look and what I would be like. You also created me with for an unique purpose. God, that you took the time to create me and weave me together with a specific idea in mind, is so wonderful!

Psalm 139:14

Psalm 139:14 (NLT) - Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous--how well I know it!

Dear God,

I am one beautiful creation! I know that because YOU made me. God, your beauty is beyond my understanding. I thank you for creating me in your image, making me in the image of your beauty. Everything about the human body is wonderfully complex. It is amazing how the heart works to pump blood through the body and how the brain works to send a countless number of messages per second. How the skin stays together and doesn't fall apart, how the eyes can see, the nose can smell, the hands feel; it's all amazing and marvelous! I am in awe of your creation, God!

Psalm 139:13 - For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.

Dear God,

You knit me together. You put me together piece by piece, knowing exactly who I would become. You formed me with my specific personality. You gave me my likes, my dislikes, my passions and deires. It's awesome knowing that I was created and "specially made" by you, God!

Psalm 139:11-12

Psalm 139:11-12 - If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.

Dear God,

Even when things seem so dark around me, your nature or characteristics do not change. You are still the same strong, eternal God who is full of grace and mercy. Whether I feel in the dark (far away from you) or in the light (close to you), it doesn't change who you are! The darkness is not dark to you and my ever-changing emotions do not stand a chance against your constant light, love, and truth. No matter what I am feeling at any moment, you are still working out your plan and your will for my life.

Psalm 139:10

Psalm 139:10 - even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.

Dear God,

Wherever I am, your strong hand is there to guide me, to strengthen me. God, sometimes I feel so weak. Sometimes I'm just so confused and I don't understand the path that I am on. It gives me great hope to remember that your hand will guide me. You are guiding me on the path of your perfect plan. That includes the trials and hard times that I face. God, may your name be glorified in my life as I seek to trust you more.

Psalm 139:9 - If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea,

Dear God,

No matter where I am or what I am doing you are there! I cannot escape your presence. I cannot escape your love. I cannot escape your mercy or your grace that you have shown to me. I love you so much God!

Psalm 139:8

Psalm 139:8 - If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.

Dear God,

God, you are always there. Whether, I am on a "spiritual high" or on a "spiritual low", you are there. In the happy and great times, you are there. When everything seems like it's falling apart or when I turn away from you and try to do things on my own, God, you're still there. I don't deserve this kind of dedication, Lord. I don't deserve this kind of love. I thank you for your grace that saved me from eternal death. Your grace saved me from what I do deserve. I thank you that you have been there in my darkest hours, and not just in those moments where I feel so close to you. This brings me so much comfort and peace, Lord!

Psalm 139:7 - Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?

Dear God,

Where can I go that you're not there with me? God I praise you and thank you for being always being there. I know I can count on you no matter the circumstance and that is something only you can do, God. I thank you that you are constant and not changed by the world and its sin and evil desire. I can never flee from you, the world can never flee from you because your spirit is ever-present. You are real, God and you are here!

Psalm 139:6 - Such knowlege is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.

God, you know me, you know my thoughts, where I am going in life, the words that come out of my mouth, and you know your plan for my life. I can never fully grasp what it all means or the depth of your knowledge. But God, I thank you for being a personable God who knows me for who I am and still loves me.

You establish my steps and you walk through them with me. You place your strong, reassuring hand on my head, to give me hope and confidence that you are there as I walk in your plan. How awesome is that!

Psalm 139:4 - Before a word is on my tongue you know it complegely, O Lord.

Dear God,

Before I say anything, you know exactly what will be said. You know what kind of affect the words I say will have. You know who will be encouraged by my words and who will be hurt. God, thank you for knowing my words and for having a plan to use both the good words and the bad words for your glory. God, you often use the words that come for revealing the condition of my heart; since what I say reflects my heart. Thank you, God, for knowing me in this way!

Psalm 139:2 - You know when I sit and when I rise; you percieve my thoughts from afar.

You know where I am and where I am going. You know and understand every thought process and every feeling or emotion behind each thought. O Lord you have searched me and you know me.

Dear God,

How great it is to be known and recognized. Every inch of me is known to you Lord. You know everything about me. You have searched me, to my innermost passions and desires. How I have longed to be known and loved. You, O God, know me! You know everything about me, you see every evil thing that lurks within me. I often choose evil things over you, Lord, yet you still love me. You show love to me despite my evil nature. You even see me as the apple of your eye, a precious jewel. Oh! To be unconditionally loved and known by you, God! What joy!!!
